dNesten was developed by people at Copyleft Solutions (Software and Operations teams) as a jointly funded effort by Copyleft Solutions and Teknograd AS.
The system was designed by Daniel Mikkelsen, Kirill Miazine and Eivind A. Bergem.
It was developed primarily by Eivind A. Bergem, with help from Kirill Miazine and the Copyleft Operations team.
Testing was done by Copyleft Operations and Teknograd Operations.
This website and the dNesten logo were made by the Copyleft Applied team.
Hosting, downloads, mailinglists, and so on by Copyleft Operations.

- Python - the language and interpreter used for most of the system's automation.
- Subversion - the revision control system used to store and track dNesten data.
- Bind - the primary DNS server system used.
